This tour will take you around the city making stops at places of interests including the famous Cat Statue of the city, the oldest Chinese Temple, Old Town of Kuching,the Main Bazaar and the must visit Cat and Sarawak Museum.
This award winning living museum showcases 7 cultural houses which is built on a 17 acre site. Browse around the village display their skills and view traditional cooking and crushing methods. Tour concludes with a colorful cultural show in the theatre.
A visit to the longhouse where many families live under one roof, will provide you with an opportunity to observe a traditional and communal way of life. This guided trip also introduces visitors to the unique use of bamboo within the longhouse and other features of the longhouse and traditional farming lifestyle of the Bidayuh community.
Situated in a small town about 22km from the City, it was famous for its Gold mining activities in the mid 1850's. It is now famous for its unusual limestone caves. The Fairy Cave is co-called due to its stalagmite structure at its entrance which is said it resemble Kuan Yin, the much loved Goddess of Mercy. The Wind Cave is another 10mins drive away and is named for its constant cool breeze which blows through it.
This is the biggest crocodile farm in the country with more than 1,000 crocodiles. It houses some of the captured crocodiles that had endangered the lives of some villages. Watch the feedings as they show their aggressions to compete for feed. Regarded also has a mini zoo, other animals such as Bear Cat, monkeys, snake and birds are kept in the farm.
A shelter for semi wild 'Orang Utan' who has been rescued from captivity and trained to survive in the wild. You will be able to observe their skillful movement at the tree tops and their behavior during their morning and afternoon feeding times. **NOTE : As the Orang Utan in the centre are semi wild, sightings are not guaranteed.
Bako National Park is the oldest and also the smallest national park in Sarawak. This is actually one of Asia's most perfect nature parks with a wild shoreline of mangrove swamp and a hinterland of Kerangas bush bustling with proboscis monkeys and birds life. It is home to the other types of primates, bearded pig, flying lemur and a host of other wildlife, most of which can be encountered up close and personal. Gunung Gading National Park ~RAFFLESIA~ (DAY TRIP)
Situated about 2 hours from the city, the journey will bring you to this conservation area especially for the Rafflesia, the world's largest flower. It can grow up to one meter in diameter. The park also offers a number of trails which leads to a refreshing waterfall. However, if you miss the blooming period of the flower, you can also enjoy your trip for a jungle trek and a swim the jungle stream. Lunch is included.
Treat yourself to a fun filled kayaking adventure suitable for beginners and children in some of the most beautiful natural setting in Kuching! Paddle leisurely from the upper reaches of Sungai Sarawak and savor the sights of unique limestone formations and towering revering trees while enjoying the peace and tranquility of the rainforest. Satang Island is one of the two islands set aside by Gov- ernment of Sarawak for Turtle Conservation. The journey will take out towards the South China Sea before arriving at the island. Visit the Turtle Conservation and the hatch- ery area and learn more about the programmed. Proceed to the island's white sandy beach for snorkeling amidst the wide variety of soft corals, spotting abundance of colorful marine life.**NOTE : Only open from May-September.
Enjoy a scenic boat ride out to mouth of South China Sea passing through the mangrove swamp. In this cruise, you also get the chance to spot for Irrawaddy Dolphin, also known as the Snub-Fin Dolphin. Searching for Proboscis monkey, crocodiles, birds and many more. End the cruise to a beautiful sunset and fireflies watching. **NOTE: Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed.
