The Conference on Information Technology in Asia (CITA) is an international event organised every two years by the Faculty of Computer Science and IT, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS). This year, the 9th CITA theme is “Transforming Big Data into Knowledge” emphasising the big data challenges and its potential solutions which include data capture, data curation, data storage, data search, data sharing, data transfer, data analysis and data visualization. With the aim of managing the ever growing data, big data is also a key enabler to various fields such as engineering, medical, and business.
